10 years of excellence

Put your hands together for our 2023 Recognition of Excellence Awards finalists! We are absolutely thrilled to be back sharing the inspiring work of pharmacy support staff

The Recognition of Excellence (RoE) Awards are back!

We are once again delighted to welcome our finalists, judges, sponsors and honoured guests to celebrate the wonderful work of pharmacy support staff across the UK. This time, the event is taking place in the House of Lords, set against a beautiful backdrop of the River Thames, right in the heart of central London.

For 2023, we received a record number of individual nominations alone with over 115 inspiring nominees from all four corners of the UK. As you’ll see in our July issue, which will highlight the work of our finalists, the standard of entries and nominations was extraordinary, a real challenge to judge for our esteemed panel!

You’ll have to wait until 30 June to find out who took home the top prizes, but for now read on for our categories and finalists, what our judges had to say and more about our inspiring guest speaker, Anthony Bennett.

TBC – who will take away this years top prize?

Our guest speaker

Anthony Bennett is a motivational speaker who, after contracting multiple serious illnesses was left having to relearn the basics of life.

Since 2008, Anthony has used his second chance to deliver inspirational speeches to audiences across the UK and other parts of the world, affording him the nickname Miracle Man.

Since then, Anthony has played a key role in securing unbelievable charity partnerships, raising funds and providing vital care to even more children who need it.

Anthony himself is aware of how much he owes to the life-saving efforts of people across the healthcare industry. This is one of the many reasons he has given us the honour of being our guest speaker at the Recognition of Excellence (RoE) Awards 2023. We can’t wait to hear him share his complete story with us at our event on 30 June.

Honourable mentions

See what our esteemed panel of judges had to say:

A special privilege and treat to judge the awards. It was tough. You are always struck by how people delivering exceptional care, describe it as run-of-the-mill. The kindness, dedication and excellence of the individuals that form our community pharmacy teams, in my opinion, is the most valuable asset of the NHS. Thank you again Training Matters for recognising and honouring them”

That was tough judging and some truly worthy recipients this year

It’s been inspirational working through these entries, thanks for the opportunity

WOW – this is getting tougher and tougher, what a fantastic bunch of entries! I was particularly blown away by the quality of the ‘Pharmacy Team of the Year’!

Another tough set to judge and really heart-warming examples of great patient care in action

Thanks as always for asking me to be involved in the judging process for these amazing awards. As always it has been a tough task of picking out my top entries, but equally it has been amazing to read such wonderful stories from pharmacy across the UK!

Congratulations to all our finalists!
